Brown students have a powerful opportunity to become part of a vibrant and exciting research community here at the University. There’s a universe of cutting-edge research going on at Brown— from the workings of the human brain to the planets that inhabit our solar system, Brown faculty members are exploring new realms in science, medicine, the humanities, and arts and culture.Research projects require the hands and minds of many people. Students who work on research at Brown find an open and encouraging environment that welcomes creative thinking. They foster thoughtful relationships with their collaborators, from faculty to fellow students, and with the subject material itself. Concepts developed in the course of research can lead to more opportunity, at Brown and beyond. Talking with faculty members, and learning about the options available, can be instrumental in finding the right research opportunity.
