JACOB ROSENSTEIN

Jacob Rosenstein is interested in improving the ways that integrated electronic systems interface with the physical world. His research involves designing new high-performance electronic circuits and combining them with new materials and biophysical systems.

Biography

Jacob Rosenstein recently joined the Brown University School of Engineering as an Assistant Professor. He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, where he worked on low-noise electronics for ion channel recordings and nanopore sensors.

Prior to pursuing graduate degrees at Columbia, he spent several years as a hardware systems engineer with the semiconductor companies Analog Devices and MediaTek Wireless, contributing to the SoftFone line of baseband chipsets for wireless handsets.

Professor Rosenstein's laboratory at Brown is focused on designing high-resolution, low-power, and high-speed electronic interfaces to biological systems.
